Mark Osadchuk - Vice President
Born in Smokey Lake, Alberta, in 1935, Osadchuk attended school in Smokey Lake and Waskatenau. He left home as a teenager during the drilling boom of the early 1950s to work in the oil fields of Western Canada. After learning to operate dozers and other pieces of heavy equipment, he started working for several pipeline contractors including Michael Curran, R.H. Fulton, Banister Pipelines, Ltd. and Williams Brothers Pipeline Co., Ltd.
Osadchuk, along with others, formed Central Pipeline and Cable Co. in 1965. He remained with the company as president until 1967, when the company was liquidated and he organized Natural Pipeline Company, Inc. His newest company, based out of Lakeview, Minnesota, was engaged in all types of underground utilities. In 1971 Osadchuk formed a J-Venture with Majestic Willey during part of the Alaska pipeline.
In 1980, he formed Southeast Pipeline Contractors, Inc. and it grew to be one of the largest mainline pipeline construction companies of its time. In 1983 he formed another J-Venture in Alaska with A.I.C. He then introduced his newest innovation; the Ozzies Pipeline Padder in 1989 and then formed Ozzies Pipeline Testing, Cleaning, & Drying, Inc. in 1992. In 1994 Ozzies pipeline Padder of Germany and Australia were introduced, then in 1995 Ozzies Directional Drilling came to be with 13 rigs running, in 1997 came along Ozzies Technical services an Inspection company.
In Oct 2000 the Ozzie Companies were sold to an investment group from New York. With too much time on his hands, Osadchuk began to be a consultant for Southeast Directional Drilling from 2002-2009. Not being able to stay out of the industry he joined Dwayne to form OZ Directional Drilling in 2008.
Osadchuk has been a member of the PLCA, DCA, and the IPLOCA. He served on the board of directors for the PLCA for three years. He and his wife, Vera, reside in Scottsdale, Arizona, where Osadchuk enjoys playing in celebrity Pro-Am Golf tournaments and trying his luck at the Casinos.
